Julie Oster is a court appointed mediator for the North Dakota Family Mediation Program.  The Family Law Mediation Program provides 6 hours combined premediation orientation and mediation at no cost to the parties.

Any civil proceeding involving legal custody, physical custody, or visitation which is not resolved prior to filing will be referred to the Family Law Mediation Program. A post-judgment motion for custody modification or for a change or enforcement of visitation may also be referred to mediation after determination of a prima facie case by the court. A district judge or referee assigned to a custody or visitation proceeding may also refer a case to mediation at any time, except as prohibited by any rule or statute.
